  • In the 1980’s Greg Connell managed an automotive software company called Car Fleet Control (CFC). CFC were a division of the Evans Halshaw Motor Group and it was during this time that the original epyx management team first worked together.

  • epyx is founded by a team of seven, led by Managing Director Greg Connell, in Stratford-Upon-Avon to explore ways of employing new online technology in the motor industry

2001

2001
  • 1link Vehicle Network launched – simplifying the car ordering process for bulk buyers such as large fleets and leasing companies, as well as franchise dealers.
  • Alongside its vision to provide 1link platforms for the automotive sector epyx also secured contracts to provide consumer vehicle and tyre procurement solutions for two national providers.

2002

2002
  • 1link Service Network launches. It’s ‘set to become the fleet industry’s online standard for service and maintenance processing.’ It officially launches with the support of more than a dozen major motor manufacturers.
  • epyx launches ‘car-in-a-box’ concept – selling for a nominal deposit of £99 – including inside an order form for a vehicle, details on a low-cost credit agreement plus the toy model of a car.

2003

2003
  • Translease is acquired, Translease facilitates the processes involved in  electronic authorisation and invoice delivery within the automotive market.
  • First Service Network menu pricing initiatives – giving manufacturers the opportunity to update their pricing online, so a garage can always see the current menu price for a required job
  • epyx holds a conference attended by 100 delegates from contract hire companies and service outlets.
  • Oasis Global Systems Ltd. Is acquired. Oasis develops applications for the automotive industry. [Or 2004?]
  • 5,700 service and maintenance outlets are part of 1link Service Network.
  • 1.5 million fleet vehicles are on 1link Service Network.
  • epyx moves to Heath Farm in Meriden, where our offices remain today.
