Garages adopt new Epyx insights report

A new Epyx report designed to help garages maximise their business opportunities has seen more than 570 sign up to use it in its first six months.

The Network Performance and Opportunities Report (NPOR) gives the 18,000 garages that offer service and maintenance to fleets through Epyx’s e-commerce platforms a range of key insights.

The information has real business value, explained Ryan Wakeman (pictured), head of inside sales, showing where job leakage to other providers is occurring and on which job types, as well as where missed opportunities for jobs are happening. It also helps them benchmark their performance against recent years.

He said: “We have previously made this kind of information available as raw data to garages but the new reporting is vastly better and the initial take up has beaten our expectations.

“There are a range of enhancements including reports covering information by geographical radius, performance on job types such as MOT and servicing, and even analysis by specific model.

“All of this is presented in an easy-to-understand graphical form and applies directly to the management of our clients’ businesses.”

Wakeman explained that the NPOR was all about providing service and maintenance outlets with accurate intelligence that can be applied directly to their business.

“The fleet service and maintenance sector in which these garages operate is highly competitive and this information will give them the ability to identify where they are performing well and, crucially, where future improvements can be made,” he said.

“In an industry where high quality data is difficult to find, what we are offering has clear value. The feedback that we have received has been very positive and we are confident of selling many more subscriptions before the end of the year.”

NPOR is available to subscribers to Epyx’s Infodata service and is the first of a new series of planned insight products.

Epyx’s 1link Service Network is used by fleets totalling more than four million vehicles to transact SMR online with garages including franchise dealers, independent garages, fast fits and more.
